Opened in 2005, Cai Hong was formerly the offset printing subsidiary of Epoch Press in Paterson, NJ. Under the guidance of the founder Mrs. Tjin, its business grew quickly to require its own facilities. It was spun off as an independent company in October 2019 and moved to its 14,000-sq.ft. facility located in Totowa, NJ.
In August 2021, Cai Hong moved the main operations to the 78,000-sq.ft. book printing facility in Middletown NY, while still keeping the inventory, as well as partially packing and shipping in Totowa NJ.
